TIBI’s Impact

FAST FACTS  about the Texas International Bible Institute

June 2025

Full-time Students

  • Beginning in 2020, our Bachelor in Ministry and Biblical Studies degree, certified by the Asociación para la Educación Teológica Hispana (AETH), is awarded to all who complete the 42-course curriculum. With the certification from AETH, graduates can now pursue postgraduate studies in Bible or Theology at most universities in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
  • Our Bachelor of Biblical Studies diploma, authorized by the State of Texas, is awarded to all who complete our program of 40 courses covering biblical text, original languages, and ministry. This degree is attainable through either video conference or our online programs.
  • 23 full-time international scholarship students in 9 countries are currently studying at TIBI. Including scholarship and non-scholarship students, 100+ students are studying in our live video conference courses.
  • All full-time students must work in a local congregation during their study, supervised by Carlos Camacho, our student mentor/trainer.
  • 244 students have completed our Bachelor degrees.
  • We have 311 current full-time students or graduates working in 235 congregations in 167 cities in 20 countries. This does NOT include the thousands of part-time students working in many more places.
  • We have helped plant 81 new congregations since 2009, and there have been 6100+ baptisms since 2009 in places where we help train people.

Video conferencing

  • TIBI has been offering classes through video conference since 2005, currently through Zoom. Training by video conferencing offers an inexpensive, convenient way to equip local leaders in their own congregations and countries, so they can learn and bless their church at the same time, without leaving their country to train somewhere else.
  • Each year more than 60 courses and various seminars are offered on our network.
  • Some of our courses have had as many as 50 sites participating in one class.
  • A faculty of 26 instructors from 9 countries contributes to the instruction. Seven of these instructors only offer instruction through our online program.
  • Of the 20 instructors currently offering courses on our video conference platform, 3 hold doctorate degrees and 14 hold masters’ degrees. Several others are on track to receive a master’s in the next two years.

Online program

  • 42 courses have been recorded and are available for self-study at ibitenlinea.org.
  • The online video program has 3100+ student accounts. In all, we’ve had site visitors from 76 different countries.
  • In places where people have no good or easy access to internet, we sometimes provide a hard drive with all our video courses and accompanying documents.  We have more than 2400 students actively taking classes in Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, México, Nicaragua y Venezuela through this platform, with more to come.  Over 17,800 have taken at least one course through this method in Cuba alone.
  • More than 1330 of our videos are also on YouTube, having received more than 1.485 million views in 9 years with 14,400+ subscribers. To see our videos, search for our channel, IBIT YouTube.
  • Additionally, on YouTube we have series of videos about Israel, both regular and 360 videos, in English and Spanish.

Masters of Practical Theology

  • Beginning in August 2018, TIBI has been part of a group of schools (Red de Institutos Bíblicos, www.redinbi.org) which is now offering a new Masters of Practical Theology—a 36-hour degree requiring 3 years of study.
  • 46 students divided into three different cohorts are currently pursuing this degree.
  • 49 students from three cohorts have completed their studies and received the MPT degree.
  • 16 different countries are represented in these groups.
  • All professors of the master’s program have masters’ or doctoral degrees.
